I offer a range of English-to-Norwegian language services. All projects are personally handled by me, Heidi Terese Vangen, a native Norwegian translator and writer. I work with mission-driven businesses and organizations of all sizes as well as individuals in need of language services.

TRANSLATION & LOCALISATION

I want your message to come across well, so you can stand out for the right reasons. That means translations that are not only accurate and in line with current grammatical norms, but content adapted to the Norwegian market.

MACHINE TRANSLATION POST-EDITING (MTPE)

MTPE really is a separate skill set. You see, the human brain is extremely adaptive, and it acclimatizes to what it’s reading. So, while the post-editor certainly needs all the knowledge and skills associated with traditional translation, they also need to be hyper-vigilant throughout the process so they can catch all those sneaky anglicisms and mistranslations.

COPYEDITING, PROOFREADING & QUALITY ASSURANCE

A single typo or misused word can instantly distract readers from otherwise brilliant copy. When you communicate well, you convey your message in a clear and engaging manner, and you do so without unnecessary distractions.

Services related to quality control are often neglected because we don't notice them when they're done well. It's not until you get that error that sparks complaints, confusion, or worse that you realize how vital editing, proofreading, and quality assurance really are.

Oh, and I do love getting paid to nitpick!
